Although the MLA site is still under construction, it provides a wealth of information about the Modern Language Association's history and mission, MLA membership, the Annual MLA conference, and the organization's available prizes and awards. In addition, the Modern Language Association's site offers information about MLA's publications, including descriptions and ordering information for their various books, the journal PMLA, and the MLA International Bibliography. Perhaps the most intriguing feature on the MLA site is the section concerning the Job Information List, which offers information about the JIL, data on the job market, and a sizable archive of tips and guidelines for job candidates and hiring departments. In addition, users can submit queries, suggestions, and job listings through the JIL home page, and soon users will be able to search the Electronic Job Information List.
